Recycling Program

875 North Michigan Avenue is committed to environmental responsibility and has successfully implemented a building-wide recycling program as part of our sustainability initiatives. The program is designed to reduce landfill waste and promote responsible resource management. The building recycles most paper products as well as plastics designated #1 and #2.

Accepted Materials Prohibited Materials
  • Office paper (white, colored, and mixed)
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Cardboard (flattened)
  • Plastics #1 and #2 (bottles, containers, etc.)
  • Aluminum and tin cans
  • Food waste or liquids
  • Glass of any kind
  • Styrofoam products
  • Plastic bags or film plastic
  • Hazardous materials (batteries, chemicals, electronics, etc.)
Collection Procedures
  • Clearly marked recycling receptacles are located throughout tenant spaces
  • Cardboard should be broken down and placed in designated collection areas.
  • Tenants are responsible for ensuring that only accepted materials are placed in recycling containers. Improperly sorted items may result in the container being disposed of as regular waste and fees will apply.

Special Recycling Requests

For bulk recycling (e.g., large volumes of paper, electronics, or office clean-outs), tenants must submit a work order in advance. Charges may apply for special handling or disposal.

Additional Information

Recycling containers for individual tenant suites are available upon request. Please contact the Management Office to coordinate delivery or with any questions regarding proper recycling practices.

Your participation in the recycling program helps us maintain a cleaner, greener building for all tenants.
